All items have a curated GP cost, based on the quality of the item relative to what currently exists for the classes that will use it.
You can view a current list of all GP values at the following
Item distribution is handled using the CEPGP addon. When an item drops, all players who want it may either call Main Spec (MS), Minor, or Off Spec (OS) on it using the CEPGP GUI. The Raider with highest priority and MS call will receive the item. If there are no calls for MS or Minor, the item will be free rolled among those who called OS, with the only exception being Utility Player prioritization (). If nobody calls for the item, it will be disenchanted.
The item is an immediate or eventual upgrade for your primary spec. This includes tier pieces which become useful only after obtaining a set of them.
The item is generally considered appropriate for your raid spec, or you are designated a PvP MS (with pre-approval) and the item is MS for PvP. For example, a healer cannot typically roll MS on items which are generally for caster DPS, despite being a minor upgrade in some scenarios. (Talk to an officer if you have questions about particular items.)
The item is for your MAIN character.
Only if all criteria for MS do not apply, may you call for Minor or Off Spec.
Minor Rolls are a 25% discount off the MS GP cost. This Roll is typically reserved for tier pieces where the GP is set at an amount that is 'BIS' level for most Classes but may not be accurate for some.
If using this roll on a non-tier item, you must provide reasoning why you are requesting a 25% discount off of the set GP value and the officers in raid will review.
This roll can be overruled by anyone who rolls MS, so it is not a guarantee of loot win.
Toward the end of a phase when loot begins to lose value, players may want to use this option. Officers will take this into consideration as new loot tables are presented.
At no point will minor rolls be considered for items priced at 5gp.
The item is a situational sidegrade. (Ex: MP5 items useful for spamming dispels, or resistance gear for particular fights.)
The item is for a non-primary spec. (Ex: PvP)
The item is an upgrade considered inappropriate for your raid spec. (Ex: DPS gear for healers, as mentioned before.)
In general, you should have some intent of using the item to roll OS. However, we will not allow an item that is an upgrade (minor or major) to go for free. Please do not abuse this roll function to attempt to gain free upgrades.
Note: Any loot that is being awarded as an Off-spec roll will be first prioritized to a Raider that has been flexing between those specs for the raid's benefit and success. This is a fair way to bolster up the sets of our Swiss Army players, allowing them to swap roles for the raid and to have the necessary gear to do so. If you've read this, reach out to Annondorf for a reward using the keyword "bananas".
Alts can only receive loot if no other mains are seeking the item for MS. In some cases, the winner may pay a cost equal to 25% of the item's normal GP cost, charged to their main's account.
Finally, players may not roll on loot for financial gain, for example, rolling on an expensive BoE with intent on selling it. Typically all BoEs will go to the Gbank with the intent to sell or DE at the benefit to the raid.
